Introduction

ProductDescription

TheDigitalTorqueTester(DTT)isastateoftheartdevicesuitableforbothtorquetesting&calibrationoftorquetools.Asaprecisiontool,itishighlyaccurateaswellashighlyrepeatable.Forproductportfoliocohesion,theTorqueTesterDisplay(TTD)usesthesameOrganicLEDdisplay,membranekeypad,userinterfaceandPCbaseddatamanagementsoftwareasotherstandardproductswithinthisrangeofelectronictorquetools.Additionally,trainingtimeiskepttoaminimumduetotheeaseofuseofthetoolitself.

DigitalTorqueTestersaredemonstratedtohaveanaccuracyof0.5%orbetter,andarebothsimpletosetandcalibrateaswellascomingwithafullytraceablecertification.

TheTorqueTesterDisplay(TTD)hasbothvisualandaudiblealarmsthatsignalgoodorbadtorque.Furthermore,thereisavisualbatterylifeindicator,alarmsforpresetvalueapproach,fasteneroverload,rangeoverloadandmaximummechanicaloverload.

RecommendedUse

TheDigitalTorqueTester(DTT)isspecificallydesignedforuseinallindustrialsettingsandapplicationswhereaccuracyandrepeatabilitycombinedwithcompletetorquedatamanagementisrequired.Thistoolisidealfortheregularaccuracycheckingrequiredforatorquewrench,andwillensurethaton-sitetoolsarecompliantandaccurate

totherelevantstandards.

2.GeneralGuidelines

ChangingtheBatteries

Removethebatterydoor.

InstallfourstandardAAorstandardrechargeablebatteriesintherequiredorientation.

Replacethebatterydoor.

Turnonthetesterandchecktoensurethedateandtimearebothsetcorrectly.

Note:Standard&rechargeableAAbatteriesarebothsuitableforusewiththeDigitalTorqueTesters(DTT).Rechargeablebatteriesshouldbechargedofflinewithasuitablecharger.

TransducerGuidelines

Storeinacool,drylocation.

Donotexceedspecifiedtorques.

Donotuseexternalforcesontransducer

e.g.ahammer.

Applytorqueperpendicularlytotransducer.

SecureTransducerinplacebeforeapplyingtorque

tothetransducer.

Thestatedrangeofeachtransducerdefinesthecalibratedrange.Workingabovethestatedrangecandamagethetransducerbeyondrepair.MaximumPermissableDeviationvaluedoesnotapplytomeasurementsbelow10%oftheMaximumTorque.

InterchangingtheTransducer

TheTorqueTesterDisplay(TTD)canbeinterchangedwithanyDigitalTorqueTester(DTT)intherange.

ScrewthecableintothesameconnectoronthedesiredDTT.

PowerontheTTD.

Ensurethatnoerrormessagesappear.Iferrormessagesappearrepeatsteps1-4.

Thefollowingareasetofgeneralguidelinesforusingandstoringthetesterthatshouldbeadheredtoatalltimes;

accuracyofthereadings.

Theuseoftorqueextensionswillincreasethe

torqueapplied.
