Educational Objectives and FeaturesThis program is developed to cultivate senior engineering technological talents in building electrics and intelligentization who satisfy the requirements of socialist modernization, are well-developed in morality, intelligence and physical health, have coordinated and integrated their individual qualities, capabilities and knowledge, and have mastered basic theories in broad fields such as electrical and electronic technology, control theory and technology, computer technology, network communication technology, buildings and building equipment, intelligent building environmental sciences as well as professional knowledge and skills of building electrical control technology, building power supply and distribution, building illumination, building equipment automation, building information processing technology and public security technology. They should have a solid theoretical foundation, a wide scope of knowledge, high integrated quality, strong practice capability and an innovative spirit and have developed basic knowledge and skills expected for licensed and certified engineers.The graduates should be able to carry out engineering design, engineering construction and management, system integration and information processing in relation to industrial and civil building electrics and intelligentization technology and should possess preliminary capabilities of researching and developing applications of building electrics and intelligentization technology.III. Electrical Engineering and Automation (080601)Electrical Engineering and Automation is an electric information sub-category of the engineering category. This discipline is characterized by the combination of strong and weak electricity, electrotechnics and electronics, software and hardware, components and systems. The students mainly study a wide scope of engineering technological basics covering electrotechnics, electronics, information control and computer technologies as well as some professional knowledge.This discipline cultivates senior engineering technological talents who are capable of working in fields related to electrical engineering, including system operation, automatic control, power electronics technology, information processing, test analysis, research and development, economic management and application of electronic and computer technology.2. Computer Science and Technology (080605)Computer Science and Technology is an electric information sub-category of engineering category. Computer is a great invention of humanity in the 20th century, leading the development of modern information technology. The students mainly study basic theories and knowledge of computer science and technology and receive training on research and use of computers.
