2000

the

Italian

Ministry

for

the

Environment,

Land

and

Sea

(IMELS)

launched

the

Sino-Italian

Cooperation

Program

for

EnvironmentalProtection

together

with

the

State

Environmental

Protection

Administration

of

China

(SEPA).

The

goal

was

to

help

China

to

improve

her

environment,support

her

sustainable

development

and

promote

the

cooperation

between

enterprises

ofthe

two

countries.IMELS

has

implemented

more

than200

projects

inChinaincollaboration

with

the

ChineseGovernment

departments,

universities,

research

institutes

andenterprises.In

June

2014

a

Memorandum

of

Understanding

(MOU)

had

been

signed

between

GSE-Manager

of

Energy

Services

and

Economic

and

TechnologicalDevelopment

Zone

of

Zhenjiang

(ZETDZ).

According

to

this

the

Parties

will

cooperate

in

identifying,

each

in

its

own

country,

businesspotentially

interested

in

investing

in

the

project

for

the

realization

of

the

"Sino-Italian

Innovation

Demonstration

Park".2000
