1、week mar 25, 2011introductionthe internship took place at ahcof industrial development co., ltd, hefei, china from mar 21, 2011 until apr 10, 2011 with the focus on international trade. at the internship period, i was working as an assistant to the manager of metals department of the company and as

2、a foreign trade agent.goals and objectives my goal and objective is simple and pure, only to obtain more working experience to fit myself into the society and get well prepared for my future career before i jump out of my campus and take the outside challenge. therefore i try every possible efforts

3、and strive myself harder so as to be a good assistant to my manager to the best of his expectation, completing every task with high efficiency and quality together with building good relations with my colleagues. the first weeks conclusionthe company i worked in is ahcof industrial development co.,

4、ltd, which is one of the core companies affiliated to anhui cereals oil and foodstuff i/e (group) corporation. in terms of assets management, it is under the jurisdiction of the national assets supervision and administration commission of the state council. at the same time it follows the guidance o

5、f the anhui cereals oil and foodstuff i/e (group) corporation in business management and development. after a short interview and a test, i successfully became an intern in the company. i entered the metals department and was arranged to be the assistant of the manager zhu. this department mainly de

6、als with the import and export of metal materials like steel and copper. this week i try really hard to get familiar to the company and the department as soon as possible, and then get to know more about the business. besides that, i mainly do some simple things like translating, sorting out the fil

7、es and making some necessary documents. when making the document, i often make small mistakes at first. mr. zhu told me that, in foreign trade business, even a tiny error can become serious problems in the future and cause great lost, i learned a lesson and put more attention on it. and at the end o

8、f this week, i can finally make the documents independently with high quality and efficiency.another part of my work is to conduct market research, mostly on the internet but sometimes also on-site for the first hand materials. i primarily focus on the foreign market for the advantages of my major.

9、i need to find the valuable information and sort out into chart or excel for the companys reference. a lot of information should be filled in, say italy market and belgium market. we must find the local metal suppliers along with their manufacturing products, sales territories, annual sales volumes,

10、 annually or monthly producing volumes, production lines, etc among which can hardly find on the internet. during a weeks work i begin to know about the international business but i still cant get a deep understanding of it. mr. zhu teaches me a lot and so do other colleagues. and i find that i am i

11、n the dead need of the foreign trade knowledge. what i have learnt in campus is far not enough, and this gives me new motivations to learn more about it.(intern signature)this written log will provide you with a record all of your internship work experience.week apr 1st,2011the second weeks conclusi

12、oni was lucky to take part in the training course hold by ahcof at the beginning of this week. this training course benefit me a lot and facilitate me with more practical information, and also the methods to solve problems which will be met during the business. and i have also learned a lot by obser

13、ving my manager, mr. zhu. planning and being prepared is the key to achieving goals. while some may pride themselves in staying back till late hours in the office to get the job done, by proper time management and delegation of task, a lot of processes can be streamlined. when extra effort is requir

14、ed, my superiors stayed back to lend a hand. i truly admire this “leadership by example” approach. it is quite motivating.this week i continue to do some translations and make documents as well as conducting market research. my manager expects much from me and invisibly and inevitably places much bu

15、rden on me. that means i have to face more difficulties which drive me to work harder. first of all, conducting market research is really a time consuming work asking patient. surfing on the websites of the suppliers and looking for the information i wanted, it is tiring work. and my lack of experie

16、nce wastes me a lot of time. flipping through all the pages of the companys website but hardly finding any wanted information is a common case. sometimes when tired, even a flip or a skim will sting my dying eyes. secondly, translation, as is known to all, is by no means an easy job. anyway its rath

17、er difficult to translate something you have never heard about. usually even the chinese versions are far beyond a non-major to understand. the technical terms always trouble me even though i have already familiarized myself with the frequently used words, the vocabulary of the metal industry and te

18、rms of business are large. and most of the time, the papers i translated are also a mysterious to me if without reference. however, with the help of the manager and the internet, i proceed successfully at last.but i received very good direction from my manager, mr. zhu to get through those difficult

19、ies and enjoyed immense support from my colleagues. i always have a lot of questions and they have always been patient listeners. this lent a very good rapport to our relationship, allowing me to clearly define problems and seek advice. the confidence placed in me was quite motivating and the lesson

20、s learned were rewarding indeed. people in other departments also have been a big help. to add to this, i am thankful to all the folks i met daily who beamed me bright smiles that brightened my day. nevertheless, my effort, my competence and my efficiency win the trust of my manager who gave me high

21、 complimentary. i treat it as a kind of recognition of my working capability. and now i myself is gradually becoming one part of the department, i enjoy what the work brings to me. under the supervision of the manager and other collogues, my knowledge of the foreign trade is broadening and whats mor

22、e, i begin to learn how to deal with things efficiently.(intern signature)this written log will provide you with a record all of your internship work experience.week apr 15, 2011the third weeks conclusion after the last two weeks practice, i begin to operate one simple business between our shanghai

23、supplier and hong kong customer under the supervision of mr. i have dreamed about that for a long time, but when i was truly dealing with it i found myself always be confused. i underestimated the difficulty of a foreign trade; i never thought it would relate to so many aspects of things, people and

24、 places. i took the phone calls from our customers all the time and have to prepare the required documents in limited time, i even thought it was the hardest time in my life. i gradually get used to that kind of work, and i can do it better which wins my managers appraisement. i become more confiden

25、t, and also love this work more and more. but i suddenly found that my internship was almost finished. i was a little sad, but i feel more satisfied. you would think that four years of school, half a dozen accounting classes and about thirty business courses would prepare someone pretty well for an

26、accounting internship. while i will admit that i may have missed a few classes, i doubt that is why my time at ahcof industrial development company taught me more about accounting and business than anything i have taken in school.this internship has great impact on my future study. mere curricular s

27、tudy is not enough for a student to apply for a good job. first, what i have learnt from the company itself are good leadership, congenial work atmosphere, challenging tasks assignment and proactive problem resolution. and i think these are the keys for its success. and with daily practice for such

28、a long period, now i have got myself more familiar with foreign trade business. my translation competence is recognized and my satisfactory accuracy and efficiency win good compliment. i benefit a lot in this internship with regard to conducting foreign trade, translation skills, business operating procedures, interpersonal and communication skills, etc. i hereby expresses my sincere and deep gratitude to the company who offers me great chance to test my capabilities, to my manager who gives me high and trust comp
