TheV-beltDriveAbstract:Thev-beltdrivearewidelyusedinallkindsofmachanics,Sotounderstandandknowhowtodesignitisverynecessary.Thev-beltandthepulleyaretwomostimportantpartsofv-beltdrive,thecentredistance,thediameterofthepulleysandtherpmofthepulleysarethemostessentialparametersofthev-beltdrive.Thev-beltdrivehasadrivepulleyandapowertake-offpulley,wedesigntheirdiametersinthebasisofspeedratio.Keywords:v-beltdrivecentredistancepulleydiameterspeedratioTheV-beltdrivehasadrivepulleyandapowertake-offpulleyandanendlessV-beltrotatingaroundbothpulleys.ThisV-beltdriveisequippedwithatorquemeasuringdeviceinthatanrpmsensorisassignedtoboththedrivepulleyandthepowertake-offpulley,whichcontinuouslydetectsthepulleyrpm,thetworpmsensorsareconnectedwithanelectroniccontrolwhichdeterminesthegearratiobetweenthedriveandthepowertake-offpulleysfromthedetectedrpm,acalibrationdevice,whichassociatesasetgearratiowithadefinedtorqueisconnectedwiththeelectroniccontrol,andtheelectroniccontrolisconnectedwithanelectronicevaluator.TheinventionrelatestotheprovisionofaV-beltdrive,whereitispossibletodeterminethetorqueexistingatdifferentdriveloadsbysimplemeansandinanoptimalmanner,asafunctionofthecooperatingpartsoftheV-beltdrive,i.e.drivepulley,powertake-offpulleyandV-belt,andtocontrolandadjustitinthisway.TheV-beltdriveinaccordancewiththeinventionisequippedwithatorquemeasuringdevice,whichusesthedepthofpenetrationoftheV-beltintheV-beltgroovesofthedriveandpowertake-offpulleys,whichheretoforeoftenhadbeenconsideredtobeslippageandhadnotbeentakenintoaccount,aswellasthevariablegearratiocausedtherebyandcomparesthisgearratio,whichcontinuouslychangesasafunctionoftheloadonthedrivepulley,inanelectronicdevicewithapredeterminedtorque,evaluatesthedifferencesobtainedinthismannerforthechangingtorques,whichresultsintherespectivelyactualtorque.Bymeansofthisitispossibleinasimpleandassuredmannertocontrolandadjustthetorque;atthesametimedetectandimmediatelyremedydevelopingtroubles,overloads,wearandthelikeinconnectionwiththevariousmachinesanddevicestobepowered,suchasagriculturalmachinery,industrialmachineryandthelike.DifferingrotationaldiametersofthebeltarecausedbythesedifferingpenetrationdepthsoftheV-beltand,becauseofthat,differentrpmofthetwopulleys.TheRPMorgearratioofthetwopulleysischangedbymeansofthisaction.Tocompensateforthisaction,theRPMorgearratioischangedbymeansoftherpmsensors,dependingontheloadonthedrivepulleyandthepenetrationdepthintobothpulleysoftheV-belt.Therpmofbothpulleysiscontinuouslydetectedbymeansoftherpmsensors,andthesenumbersareenteredintotheelectronicdevice,whichformsaRPMgearratiotherefrom.Intheno-loadconditionorwithaknownloadoftheV-beltdriveacalibrationisperformedinthecalibrationdevicebyassigningtheRPMorgearratiotoasettorque.Theforegoingdescriptionofthespecificembodimentswillsofullyrevealthegeneralnatureoftheinventionthatotherscan,byapplyingcurrentknowledge,readilymodifyand/oradaptforvariousapplicationssuchspecificembodimentswithoutdepartingfromthegenericconcept,and,therefore,suchadaptationsandmodificationsshouldandareintendedtobecomprehendedwithinthemeaningandrangeofequivalentsofthedisclosedembodiments.Itistobeunderstoodthatthephraseologyorterminologyemployedhereinisforthepurposeofdescriptionandnotoflimitation.Thepurposeofunderstandingtheabovetheorysistodesignthev-beltdrive.Thetotaldesignrequirementistogetthebestdistancebetweenthecentresofthetwopulleys.Ofcourse,thedesignerhasafewknownconditionsbeforehe/shestartthedesign,suchastherpmofthedrivepulley,thegearratiobetweenthedrivepulleyandthepowertake-offpulley(ortherpmofthepowertake-offpulley),thepowertobetransmittedandtheworkcircumstancesofthev-beltdrive.Thefinalpurposeofthedesignistomakethev-beltdrivehavetheleastsizeinthebasisofmeetingtoalltheworkrequirements.Asknowntoall,thev-beltisoneofthemostimportantpartofthev-beltdrive.Soitisimportanttocomprehendtheconstructionofthev-beltandtochooseit.therayonandrubberv-beltarewidelyusedforpowertransmission.Suchbeltsaremadeintwoseries:thestandardv-beltandthehighcapacityv-belt.Thebeltscanbeusedwithshortcertredistancesandaremadeendless.Oneofthevirtuesofthev-beltisthatthecostislow,andpoweroutputmaybeincreasedbyoperatingseveralbeltssidebyside.Allthebeltsinthedriveshouldstretchatthesamerateinordertokeeptheloadequallydividedamongthem.Whenoneofthebeltsbreaks,thegroupmustusuallyberaplaced.Thedrivemaybeinclindatanyanglewithtightsideeithertoporbottom.Anotheradvantageisthattheincludeangleforthebeltgrooveisusuallyfrom34to38,thewidingactionofthebeltinthegroovegivesalargeincreaseinthetractiveforcedevelopedbythebelt.Anotherimportantpartofthev-beltdriveisthepulley,itmaybemadeofcastiron,sheetsteelordiecastmetal,graycast-ironiswidelyusedofallthesematerials.WhenthespeedoftheV-beltisnotmorethan25m/s,weshouldadoptHT150asthematerialsofthepulleys;Whenthespeedisbetween25to30m/s,weshoulduseHT200;Whenthespeedisbetween25to45,thenwecanemploynodularcastiron,caststeelorforgedsteel,wealsocanweldthepunchedsteelplatetouseasthepulleys.Whenthepowerdeliveredisnotverymuch,thepulleysalsocanbemadeincastaluminumo
