山东大学硕 ：学位论文 摘要 自从1 9 7 6 年韩礼德和哈桑开创性地提出其衔接理论，研究语篇衔接的著述大量 出现。然而，有关法律语言的衔接手段的研究仍相对较少。本文旨在利用韩礼德和哈 桑( 1 9 7 6 ) 的衔接理论来分析英语合同法语篇的语法衔接手段。 二十世纪七十年代以来，法律语篇的研究为研究者所关注。一方面，法律语言 在法律活动中发挥重要作用，另一方面，法律也为语言学研究提供了丰富的资源。随 着法律语言学的发展，关于法律语言的各种研究也逐渐增多。但是，从语篇衔接的角 度对法律语言进行研究的论著却相对较少。合同法语篇具有独特的特点。由于涉及当 事人各方的权利义务，其对语言精确度的追求可谓是孜孜不倦。因此，英语合同法语 篇中的衔接手段也呈现出一定的规律。 本文对英文合同法语篇中的各种语法衔接手段( 包括照应，替代，省略，和连接) 的出现频率进行数据分析，并通过大量的例证详细分析英文合同法语篇中的语法衔接 手段，从而剖析英文合同法语篇中语法衔接手段的应用，并发现其总体规律。 本研究的语料库由联合国国际货物买卖合同公约( 1 9 8 0 ) 、国际统一私法协会 u n i d r o i t 国际商事合同通则( 1 9 9 4 ) 、欧洲合同法原则( 1 9 9 8 ) 和美国统一 商法典组成，共计1 9 9 ，1 1 8 英文单词。首先，作者识别语料中的各种语法衔接手段， 并根据韩礼德和哈桑( 1 9 7 6 ) 的衔接手段分类方法对之进行分类；其次，统计各种语 法衔接手段的出现频率，并进行数据分析；再次，通过例证详细描述并讨论英文合同 法语篇中各种语法衔接手段的使用情况；最后，总结英文合同法语篇中语法衔接手段 的运用特点，并分析其原因。 作者通过分析发现，首先，总体来讲，英文合同法语篇采用较多的语法衔接手段 平均每千词中有多达1 5 8 7 4 5 个语法衔接项。也就是说，语法衔接手段在英语合 同法语篇的衔接中起到了很重要的作用。其次，各种不同种类的语法衔接手段的出现 频率之间也表现出很大的差异。照应出现的频率最高；替代和省略几乎很少出现：连 接的出现频率居中。另外，作者也发现，英语合同法语篇所采用的语法衔接手段比较
